Everett: Snohomish County's Seat
Population
In the mid 1960s, Everett's population was only 60,000 people. Now, there is way over 100,000. Mukilteo was voted in 2012 the tenth most popular city to live in. This is mostly in thanks to Boeing because the economy is so great.
History
World War II brought a large naval shipyard along the Everett Bay front
bringing more than 6,000 employees to the area. Boeing airplanes and jets were used during this time (1939-1945) for military purposes. Many buildings were built so the new workers and officers had a place to live. This brought a big industry into Everett and towns near it that would bring jobs and future development. Natives

Snohomish believed to mean either "a style of union among them of the braves", "Sleeping Waters", or "wet snow". Snohomish members have been seeking federal recognition as a tribe.
